The Garden Bridge Bungalow
This custom 8’ wide x 4’ deep x 8’ tall catio transforms a simple concrete pad off a sliding glass door into a multi-zone outdoor retreat, built with pressure-treated lumber and enclosed in 1x1 black PVC-coated welded wire for durability and visibility. Inside, shelves and ramps create an engaging vertical play space, while a human access door makes entry easy for cleaning and interaction. The standout feature is the elevated tunnel—stretching up to 8 feet into the garden bed area—which leads to a charming 3’ x 4’ x 4’ mini cat viewing house, giving cats a second destination to explore and perch. While the main catio and mini house are protected with clear polycarbonate roofing, the open-air tunnel keeps the journey breezy and stimulating. Left in its natural wood finish with no paint or stain, this build feels like a connected outdoor adventure system—part catio, part bridge, part cozy bungalow tucked into the garden.
